For alert feature, this one is a feature where it will make a sound once your item is sold and if you're logged in.

Doesn't say anything about what if you're not logged in while the item was sold. I'm assuming like other MMO's it will make the alert sound once you log in but no confirmation from reps yet. (plz talk on another thread, thx)

I wonder if they will ad a feature to provide a notification when logged out via email, sms, or some other method. It will be nice to be notified in-game at any rate.

As long as you're notified as soon as you log in i'm not sure it's even necessary to be warned outside the game?
Unless it's an additional feature of an otherwise comprehensive tracking utility, if you're away from the game you probably have a good reason, and being notified of the sale would really accomplish little

Yoshi-p said he want to release a smart phone app that allow you to sell,buy and look up price of the AH. But he said few month back that the app may not be ready and would be delay at least the one that allow you to do what i just said.

Let's hope they can release it soon or even do it to start with i hope there no issue they found that they can't that would suck because then making a new engine/coding would pointless if it can do most of the fun stuff other mmo can.

They could certainly add it if they wanted, the only problem I see is some people might play with the game muted for what ever reason and they wouldn't know if it was a sound only, some form of notification on screen would be better, or perhaps a toggle "Item sold alert, Sound, Onscreen notification, both or none."

Seems weird to me if it just makes the alert sound at any time. You could be fighting, walk off or be listening to music and completely miss it. A sound seems unnecessary anyway. Just send a letter to the moogle and alert players that way so they know what sold and when without any need to do much else.

I wouldn't mind the email option...would be nice for when I am away from the game or outside doin stuff. Not totally necessary though.

Also I am guessing besides having just a sound they will most likely have an icon displayed somewhere that lets you know stuff has sold.

would love the option to have a Fairy (Moogle).. for reminders "hey, listen" I HATE YOU... BUT I LOVE YOU.... (moogles are way cuter then that glowing ball with wings, so I'd never hate him.. just want to fluff him and use him as a pillow - double rested rate :D).

Would like to see tutorials delivered this way as well - I'm a big fan of tutorials that have a vocal direction (pop up on the screen from god crap annoys me :D). Little moogle face icon on the side somewhere with a number, perhaps the icons go around in a dial so you have - a number for number of things he's got to say, and then icons like mail, market, tutorial, garden, chocobo and perhaps quest updates.

Can make him a non combatant companion, once you get your house while you dont have him summoned you can find him managing your plants and chocobos.

Through a quest you can initiate your mog into mognet and he can grab and deliver mail for you :D?? Maybe buy him a pack to send items home or take items from home... dunno I think you could do a lot with this. (More then just a reminder tool).

If they are adding an alert sound for that... how about giving us our much loved <call6> or <call7> from FFXI?

I like the idea. I mean if you low on gil you will know asap.

I think it would be neat to be notified on you phone but then you phone would have to allow you to play, well not play but log in like in phone mode like if you in you moog house you could access you character via you phone for that particular area and be able to chat with your LS or FC via text , would also need to have a mini game like idk crafting or something. idk with the graphics and such probably far fetched but would defiantly be cool.
