2.0 Alpha Global Test

Man, I can't wait for the 2.0 global alpha test on Nov. 26th! Just around the corner!

I'm of two minds on this. The first is that I really want to get to play this game. The second is that I want when the game releases for it to be fresh. When 1.0 came out it didn't really feel like as huge of a deal as it should because I'd been playing since the alpha in April. Well, that and 1.0 was terribad when it came out.

If I get an invite I will probably get on, run outside, fight a few monsters, and then try to restrain myself from playing it until retail release.

I just want to help the game succeed any way I can, yes I get to play the game early if I get accepted for alpha, but that's not my priority I can wait to play it, there's other games while waiting on release.

I understand that too. I just hope they do a better job listening to alpha testers this time than they did last time. Last time we were all basically stress testers. They didn't care about any feedback whatsoever. I am confident that Yoshi-P will do a much better job of listening, though.

Lol I know, I was there, but I think they will, especially with how Yoshi-P has taken feedback so far he's such a cool guy.

Keep in mind though, global alpha only if everything goes peachy with the alpha phase immediately before it. I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna go find every four-leafed clover I can, hang thousands of horseshoes (upright) on my wall, buy 50 tortoiseshell cats, 100 rabbits (feet intact, poor guys), and... I guess just knock on every piece of wood I find.

Once it goes global it doesn't usually go back to region lock unleess something terrible happens to zee servers then that could happen.

I'm not going to pretend I work in a software shop even close to the caliber of SE, but I know for damn sure issues come up often. That's life. That's how complicated things work.

I'm totally fine with them working out bugs and polishing it as much as possible. I can wait a year for Alpha and ARR. The better they can make the game the more I profit. Let's at least do our parts as fans and support the team as much as possible.

Also, let's break the hell out of ARR in testing so they can fix features before launch! The earlier they're caught, the easier they can be squashed.
