So I just returned and started playing again about a month back anyone have any story behind the 3 huge Battleship like Airships near Limsa Lominsa is it the Garleans about to invade or is there some sort of quest that leads up to and explains why they are floating nearby?

Yah I got a cool screenshot of it too but no idea what they are or what the story behind them is been gone since before the Job system was implemented lol I know about Dalamund but nothing about why 3 battlecruisers would be sitting in the air outside Limsa =P

They're actually all over the place, you can see them periodically. It's just for show, like they're prepping for an invasion when the servers shutdown.

I recently wondered why they are still there. Its pretty obvious Dalamud isnt stopping now.
