just wondering how long it takes for a response from these guys a friend of mine placed a ticket with them over 2 months ago and is still yet to receive assistance, all he wanted was his account name etc cos he forgot it would really appreciate a reply to this from a mod of some sort.

It sounds like it's been lost in the system. I'd highly suggest making another ticket, or getting someone to contact a GM about it in game.

Using their website the greatest wait time I've experienced was three days (for email). You get fast response from the chat - calling isnt so bad, but usually I get a chat person faster.
Expect them to require a lot of info to prove its him.

see ive even tried contacting a GM but they never get back to me, ive even sent tickets in myself for other things that have went unanswered. Its a bit frustrating as he wanted to resub to the game lol

SE customer support for FFXIV has always been shakey at best.

I just called it and it still works.
Make sure your friend has his ticket number available when he/she calls because it is the first thing they ask for.

Normally it doesn't take more than a day or two unless you submit it on a weekend. Odds are there was a problem with your ticket submission or something.

SE is actually really good about customer service. It probably got lost in the loop. I would suspect replacement refs.
