SE and "borrowing" elements from other FF games

Maybe not, but I was free to mix/match my GF's, characters, and spells as I preferred.

I thought 8's system was cool. But I always celebrate when SE does something different in the FF series. Evolution is a good thing.

Because those features totally weren't present in the two prior FF games, and implemented better at that. Mmyup.

I really liked VIII's junction system, it was a nice fresh take on bettering your stats.

That's not to say it'd fit in XIV, I really don't think those mechanics would work in what's being planned.

I thought it was really cool
