Hello guys and gals and devs i would love it if u can help me out here i want to get a relic we are doing hamlets none stop:p but with the game shutting down on nov1 idk if we should keep grinding seals if it will not be part of the relic quest any more can u tell us if we will still need them in 2.0 (seals that is) please please dev help!!!!:rolleyes:

Getting a few Hamlet seals is the least of your problems... But it would be fantastic to know exactly how the relic quest will change

The thing about the seals is that they have no purpose other than to give you access to the relic quest, so my guess is they will still be used unless they decide to give them another person. Like the above poster said though, the seals are the least of your problems, especially if you want to get a relic before the servers shut down. Ifrit alone takes about 1-2 weeks to master on average for a typical linkshell so time is probably your biggest enemy at the moment.

If SE were smart they'd get rid of this requirement all together (yes I've been long past this phase) -- as said, it's just a really unnecessary step when you get down to it, 1 of each? Sure, 3x is just overkill on the worthlessness. The only revision I see for this unless they completely redo some stuff mainly fall within the primal steps and dungeon steps given their natural changes in ARR.

For sure speed runs will no longer be neccisary, since its stated that speed runs will only be for ach and not items. I hope that double meld part gets killed too. As for that part *handing in stuff to this one guy for him to make it blah* I think it would be better if you craft the weapon parts and then the weapon yourself with mixture of key items found in certain places and gathered materials.Quote:

Really curious how hamlet, caravan, etc, will survive going into 2.0. I can't imagine they will keep it exactly the same since, lets face it, they probably have very little appeal to the broader audience FFXIV ARR is trying to appeal to (i.e., Caravan is pretty boring). But they have created items, quests, etc, that depend on these activities. So, they have to remain in some form, or at least, be replaced by new versions of these activities.
Interesting they haven't said much about this stuff. For example, "Hamlets will be exactly the same as now." or "Hamlets will change slightly." etc. -
