Cash or gear?

So I have been wondering, should I sell all my gear and keep cash for 2.0 or keep my current gear.

With the change in stats I am worried that better gear will be available or that the yea I have spent lots of money on will be less attractive than other gear once 2.0 hits. For these reasons I have been debating jut liquidating my gear into cash. I am talking about my triple melds and expensive jewelry stuff.

Have y'all thought about this and if so what do you think?

Well you'll always have your AF gear to fall back on as a safety net, but I'm sure your melded gear now will still be worth hanging on to when 2.0 arrives. There are, for lack of a better word, "safer" ways to rack up gil. Go farm some raptor skins, or mine electrum ore, or just spam leves for easy cash. You can even offer yourself as a mercenary for people who are worried about seeing content before the meteor lands

With triple melds, it's likely your gear will still be very good. I'd keep it. I'm guessing the adjustments will be relatively minor.

Was pondering same thing OP. Thinking I am going to stick with my gear for now and hope SE doesn't destroy the usefulness of double-melded gear. I think if they did, a lot of people who have worked hard and spent time/gil on double-meld plus gear will be really upset (possibly leave).

So I would hang on to it.

But we don't know how much everything will be adjusted, nor the approach they will take. It's just too damn early to do anything with your gear with so little knowledge of the change.
