Regarding Issues with Hidden Onscreen Furnishings
To facilitate furnishing limitation adjustments in Patch 7.5, we implemented a system wherein furnishings on other floors of the house are hidden if the player is not present on them and the number of onscreen items exceeds 400. Additionally, other inconspicuous furnishings may be hidden based on their size and distance from the player. However, we have received numerous reports stating that this occurs even when fewer than 400 furnishings have been placed.
In addition to verification across a variety of environments (PC specifications and platforms), we have also investigated through a wide range of methods such as copying the housing data of affected players into our development environment. However, we have not been able to reproduce the issue even once in the development environment so far, and identifying the cause has proven difficult.
Based on our analysis of the program, it is unlikely that the display limit processing would trigger when fewer than 400 furnishings are present. As such, we have formed the hypothesis that, under certain conditions, information for furnishings that were previously rendered on screen may continue to remain in the client's memory, and that this may be added to the current on-screen count. However, currently we do not have enough information to confirm this, and we have not yet been able to establish a clear direction for a fix.
To help us solve the issue, if you encounter the behaviors described, we would greatly appreciate it if you could submit a detailed report using the provided template. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
