Easier Battle Controls

Something I found rather annoying as of late is how the combo system works, not that we have one but the fact that when you click the first attack then you have to hunt for the next one.

And when I mean hunt I mean flip the bar to 2 so I can click the next one.

Would work with certain attacks because they only have 1 chain but maybe make it so when you use an ability that has the next chain proc, have an overlay of the next attack on top of the first so you can just click it again without having to hunt for it. (kinda like how Aion does it, great example and mechanic for a terrible game >.>)

Btw for any devs that may read this, I just returned since just after beta and I have to say the game is ALOT more enjoyable then it was! Great job and keep up the good work ;D.

Also I hear in 2.0 we are getting more action bars? this true?

Just rework your bars to put your combos near each other, much easier. Or, what I do since I hate flipping action bar pages, I make each job work with the 1 action bar, and alt/ctrl macros.

Skip the clicking, use your keyboard after putting all the combos on the same row.

You can drag/drop your actions around to create a more efficient arrangement, plus create macros for actions that may not be visible within the first action bar. Or just get used to pressing Shift+↓ and Shift+↑!

Additionally, I doubt action bars will be added, but I'm hoping they will allow you to see the second and/or third bars.

Tera actually handled this really well, where an onscreen prompt would just say "Press Spacebar to do X skill"

ie, in XIV you would simply just tap A 3 times on the controller to do your entire thunder combo.

It's exactly the same thing you do, minus having to press Alt and Ctrl.

Just sounds too simplistic.
Maybe just to me, but knowing where your moves are and planning a few steps in advance is part of fighting.
Overall not a big deal if they do

I just put all of my abilities that can combo next to each other. They'll be lit up when you can use them. Not too difficult.

If they go with a more modern MMO UI like they said they are, we will be able to have more than 3 action bars. its already confirmed that all 3 action bars will be able to be viewed at the same time. I'm hoping for more than 3 myself.
