So Yoshi-P just confirmed jobs won't get a big rework in 8.0.

He also added this… but what? One extra pointless button after a finisher? We’ve had those since Shb. No thanks.

Jobs have already been homogenized and dumbed down to the point where everything feels and plays the same. That killed my passion for the game. Now he confirms we will have the same problem moving forward? Do not set your hopes too high for 8.0. You will just end up disappointed again. Same thing every year, expect Glare V as the new spell for WHM and nothing else. Please look forward to it!

I guess I can say goodbye to my monk positionals. =_=

This makes me think the current jobs will stay in some form and maybe we get specs like in other games, so you could choose between two versions of each job for instance? It could be interesting to see the jobs get specialisations to choose between different flavours of gameplay.

He said that they were entertaining ideas like talent trees and specializations because he thinks that 100 is a good point to stop increasing the level cap, but don't actually get your hopes up for anything like that.

Since they already added finishers to 2 min cds i guess we will get more traits.

The small indie team struggled to fix smn talent for months not to mention picto being broken in downtime. I want them to add talents/wow trinkets etc but it will be nightmare for those 5 folks working on game to balance that.

so specializations? different ways to play the same job? It is pretty clear that something is going to change the question is why it would affect some of the players but not all.

Nothing will change about the jobs until YoshiP is out of the equation.

He may have talent, knowledge, and achievements. But class/job design is not one of his strengths.
