Moogle Treasure Trove returns

I have most of the items so there's only a handful that I would need to grind for.

Looks at list

-random dungeons nobody has ever struggled to pop- check
-alliance raid set- check
-gate and fishing mini challenges- check
-one special earring nobody will ever see- check
-a few old extreme flutes- check
-dungeon gear (usually Skala) nobody cares about- check
-a few guaranteed portal maps- check
-bunch of garbage nobody cares about- double check


Even for “paint by numbers” square enix this is just……..do they just spin a wheel on what fills these categories every time

The MGP Platinum Card is a good option if you don't need anything from the list.

Woah what's this, they put the moogle tomes on araids other than CT??

a lot of people have been waiting for the Inferno Jacket to return

I'm only surprised they didn't get this going sooner, considering the lull we've been in. Happy to see a few things I actually need/want this time around, at any rate. :3

The way I see it, moogle treasure events are for relatively new players. As in players that haven't played for 10 years. They help them to catch up with rewards that the rest of us have, so they don't have to grind out beast tribes, extremes or rare drops like the mount in Ala Mhigo, rare TT cards and the Falcon mount many players missed out on from the login campaign years ago. They tend to put popular glamours on there as well.

Yet they position them as veteran retention events in the calendar

If you aren’t a level where you can unsync for things like the mounts or the dungeon gear do you really need to be “retained” during a deep lull
