Dawntrails lack of post credits cutscene(s)

I was looking through old expansions and how they handled the credits and what they showed after them (so 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and now Dawntrail).
And Dawntrails approach to the credits is weird to be honest.

Let me make it a little more clear:
All expansions did show some cutscene relating to the raid content coming up. Alexander, Omega, Eden, Pandaemonium and Arcadion.

Besides Dawntrail and Endwalker they had an additional cutscene either relating to the overarching narrative (Ascians or Garlemald) or a follow up on the current story.
Heavensward had Elidibus on the moon with the warriors of darkness.
Stormblood had Lyse saying goodbye to the Scions, Yotsuyu and Gosetsu and Garlemald (Varis and Elidibus).
Shadowbringers had Elidibus mourning on the moon and the situation in Garlemald with the murder on Varis.

Endwalker and Dawntrail both show the raid, but Endwalker shows the Scions farewell and Dawntrail looking at the new key we got.

For Endwalker it makes sense to me, because the writers wanted to do a fresh start and a clean cut after 6.0. But why does Dawntrail does not at least have a follow up on its main narrative (either Solution Nine situation or Tural)?
It makes sense to have no overarching narrative being touched upon, because Dawntrail did not introduce a new one, but not following up on its current scenario?

Are they trying new way of storytelling? Because I liked pondering how the story continued based on the new breadcrumps we usually had after the credits.
You could argue with the key, but the key is no threat to the status quo. It is no known or unknown party. No one is scheming or doing anything outside the Scions reach after the credits. There is no surprise at the end.
Or is Dawntrail really an AB test, where Square wants to hold their cards close at hand and only show story bits after they know after our reception of the current one?

I am honestly confused about this new way of story telling, because as stated, I liked the old one more.

There are post-credit cutscenes, and I think we have to start off by underlining that. The first one with Wuk Lamat and Koana was more of a sign-off with a shot of the key to essentially confirm where it was now, but we also had the Arcadion rev-up and the conspicuous shot of Sphene's regulator-crown (which is itself odd, it's actually the first sign we have that the crown's actually a physical thing and not just a part of her projected image). So it's not that there aren't post-credit cutscenes, it's that you didn't like the ones that we got.

Personally I prefer it this way, it means the story doesn't undermine itself. I remember genuinely hating Stormblood's ending solely because of one of its post-credits scenes, I was really frustrated that Yotsuyu just... didn't die for some still-unclear reason. And in retrospect I don't love Heavensward's 'Elidibus still exists' scene either, because it only really adds a pointless diversion that I didn't care about. Dawntrail's ending lets Dawntrail exist by itself, but has a few little reminders/introductions of elements that will probably come up in the future, and honestly, that's what I want out of an ending. Don't reduce an ending by claiming it isn't one, that sucks!

As stated in my post I stated that one cutscene we got was us looking at the key in the inn.
Secondly I never wrote that there were no endings.

You are right though about the crown. But that was just an image being shown and there is no party attached to it. So we cannot infer any kind of development from there as we could do from the other post credits cutscenes

They aren't trying a new way of storytelling. They are assuming we're a dumb audience that will give them money anytime they deign to give us story content.

Frankly, the fact the post credits hint don't have something to wildly speculate about is evidence that they believe we are a captive audience and they're really not sure where the story is going beyond "Azem was fighting a worse evil that Hydaelyn and Zodiark".

Heaven forbid this new story arc manifests a new villain in the post story cutscenes. The players might speculate for months and want to pay their subs to find out what happens next. They might be less disingenuous when they speak about the expansion on this forum or reddit because of the narrative promise.

The Original Poster was pretty clear they didn't like Dawntrails post credit scenes. Not sure what you misread there.

Furthermore, if the post credit scenes from previous expansions frustrated you to the point you're still playing the game for the story, then Original Poster's point of why they are excluding that type of them now is kind of valid.

Actually one of those post-credits scenes was a major element to me quitting the game for a time. Yotsuyu still being alive left my interest hanging by a thread, and then teamed up with 'Zenos' grave is empty' in the patches to straight-up knock me out of the game until the Nier raids were announced. Stormblood felt so pointless, so quickly, and I still don't feel like it entirely recovered in my eyes.

Genuinely, when you count out the normal raid teases (which we do have this time) I can't remember a FFXIV post-credits teaser that made me more interested instead of less. So often, I feel like they undercut everything that just happened.
