Winged Glide has an Obnoxious Delay

This may have been posted before but as a DRG main, I am really disappointed with Winged Glide. It just doesn't feel that good to use. The animation is cool, but why is there such a delay after you execute it. It makes it feel clunky, unresponsive and doesn't feel good to play.

Whereas Spineshatter dive (SSD), looked cooler (imo) was faster and felt incredibly snappy. You could pop off SSD and immediately pick up your rotation like nothing had happened.

If the issue is having another skill with potency attached to it I'd much rather give up Winged Glide and Replace it with a non-potency SSD.

How do other DRGs feel about Winged Glide?

I dislike both the animation and the unresponsiveness of it. Not sure why they took away two of our jumps and decided that instead of making our gap-closer a jump, as is the job identity, they decided to give us a mediocre tank dash. There's nothing special about it, more job homogenization as per usual. I still opt for using elusive jump as my gap closer because it feels so much more responsive (not to mention it is more versatile) and only use winged glide in emergencies.

Not just you.. all the DRK an GNB have said the same with their new gap closers.. I havnt heard from the WHT but they don't need a target for theirs anyways

Agreed, the animation lock for Winged Glide should be the same as any normal oGCD. Its current animation lock is the same as normal jumps.

Agree. I still use elusive jump more as well. It feels better, is more snappy and also fills more of that fantasy vibe for a dragoon. I'd really just prefer to have 2 charges of a non-potency Spineshatter Dive and remove Winged Glide.
