Can't register expansion

Hi

On Thursday I received a mail with the registration code for Dawntrail, and instructions for how to activate it.

For 4 days (!!!), I've been getting the following message when trying to do so:

"The service is currently unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again at a later time."

How long is maintenance supposed to last????? This is getting FRUSTRATING.

A few questions: have you restarted your computer since you put in the code? Did you download the expansion yet? If you look at your profile on the lodestone, does it show you own the expansion? Do you have an addons or security measures active that might interfere with the game?

The expansion IS currently alive and kicking, so there is no maintenance as of this post.

The pre-access code, if you got one, should be usable now in the Mogstation.
The "real" code for the expansion won't be usable until July 2, when pre-access ends and the expansion officially launches.

The real issue here assuming this is just an early access mistake on his point is that expansion registration has been down for 4 days now. I'm finishing up shb and I won't be able to play ew until squeenix get off their ass and fix the issue. I believe we were told we were not gonna see problems like this prior to the launch of dawntrial. But alas dawntrial has made my expansion purchase worthless.
At least i won't lose early access time. Just annoyance.

Seems you're correct when it comes to the "real" code comment. I overlooked that it says July 2 in the email.

BUT: how the heck to get pre-access? I ordered the expansion months ago, and I'm supposed to get early start, but I can't access it yet. I never got an access code for pre-access.

You should have gotten an email shortly after purchasing the expansion via the preorder, titled:
FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail Pre-order Bonus Items

In the message body below where it tells you your preorder bonuses will be a red rectangle with a string of letters and numbers arranged in a grouping of five groups of four digits.
That is your Early access to Dawntrail code that you should have entered into the Mog Station with your Square Enix Account.
