Simple rework to solve healing

The healing class has become problematic due to its excessive use of its 1 button rotation in 80% of content and the fact that tanks self sustain has gotten better and better.
I propose a change.

For dungeons/Alliance Raids (where this problem stems from.)

Buff enemy damage.

Nerf/remove Tank self sustain actions. Some skills are fine but some others are completely overpowered and hurt the class trinity.

Buff Tank DPS.


These changes would force healers to heal more. Meaning they\\\\'d have to use their 1 button dps rotation less.
And the Tank dps buff would increase party dps, to make up for the fact that the healer is doing less dps.

I believe these changes would the healer problems.

Healers want to heal. But they don\\\\'t have to heal in the majority of content. Simply tune the game to make healers heal more, tanks tank more damage (not heal damage), and let dps dps.

The thing is, that would just move the one button spam from your one attack spell to your main heal... As a SCH you'd be spamming Physick instead of Broil.

Indeed, not really that simple. There's not a simple solution to the healer issue, tbh - there are multiple fronts to be tackled, including encounter design itself.

Blue mages spend a LOT of GCDs casting Pom Cure because of how squish the BLU tanks are, especially with their clunky mitigation actions. Yet, BLU healers also have MANY damaging ogcds to weave between those Pom Cures.

Just making healing cyclical would make it vastly better and teach people how to play it properly automatically.

Your heals build up juicy DPS abilities, your DPS abilities build up big heals or shields.

Increasing damage taken would be welcome if the kits stay as efficient and bloated as they are, but one button spam needs a more core overhaul.
