I would love to see Monk's Thunderclap reworked into a targeted dash like Shukuchi
As a ninja main, one of the most jarring changes switching to another melee job is getting used to the gap-closing/repositioning skills.
Shukuchi feels so good to use when I need to dodge an AoE or cover distance, especially in non-combat instances or when jumping to an enemy isn't an option (like when adjusting for a knockback mechanic.)
Of all other melee dps Jobs, the Monk's Thunderclap feels the most appropriate for a ground-targeted dash like Shukuchi:
1. It deals no damage, but could still be macro'd as a single button-press jump-to-target.
2. Monk is the only melee dps Job without a true disengage ability. Yes, we can Thunderclap to an ally, but that requires the ally to be in the right place. Six-Sided Star gives a movespeed boost, but who knows if that will be the case in Dawntrail.
3. It fits the Job fantasy of being a hyper-mobile, extremely-fast martial artist. Just as Shukuchi isn't a true teleport, Thunderclap wouldn't be to be either.
I would genuinely like to hear the community's thoughts on this suggestion, and why you would agree or disagree with the suggestion to have Thunderclap changed to a ground-targeted dash like Shukuchi.
