Please Do Not Lock New DPS Spells Behind Other Spells / Skills
This is a direct criticism to WHM and SCH’s new abilities.
SE, Please, PLEASE, do not lock their new DPS abilities behind other spells / skills. I’m glad both jobs are getting new DPS spells, but with the way they are now in DT, it feels stupid that you cannot use them after a long period of time
Seriously, that new AoE ability for WHM should have been a GCD ability on a 15 or 20 sec cooldown.
Edit: If the new DPS abilities are not being separated into two separate actions, perhaps a compromise can be made? Both Presence of Mind and Chain Stratagem have 120sec cooldowns. Perhaps we can lower their CDs to 60secs. Maybe reintroduce traits that shorten the CDs of both abilities, like how SCH's Quickened Aetherflow trait used to work be pre-Shb.
Edit 2: One thing that I'd like to see with WHM's new DPS action is have a new trait that works similar to BLM's Thundercloud trait and BRD's Straight Arrow procs. Aero / Dia should have a slight chance to proc the new DPS action. A poster named, Ty mentioned this already, but if Aero / Dia would have a slight chance to proc the new DPS action (say 10 to 30 percent), it would help out with the one button issues the Job currently has (provided that the encounter design would also force us to heal more).
Edit 3: Please do not make WHM and SCH wait for 90 levels just to get their new DPS actions. There are still plenty of old skills that are still in the game files that can be reused. Actions like Aero III, Water, and Miasma would be great to obtain at lower level and would serve as placeholders for their stronger abilities.
