Hello.
I'm writing this because a friend from my LS is unable to log in on his character.
This happened after the market wards from Balmung crashed with him inside of them.

It seems other people are able to log in with his account, but that he is unable to.

He contacted SE's support and all they could tell him was to reset his network, redownloaded the game, prayed to Dionysus the god of hard-parties.

He's very chill about the whole issue, but I'm outraged.
Not just because it happened to him, but because another member from our linkshell suffered a power outage and had the exact same thing happened to him.

He ended up deleting his character and creating a new one.

If something like that were to happen to my two year old character I'd rage quit.

Bottom line.
They are long term paying customers who've stood for this game in its worse. Its outrageous SE won't offer them a fix to these problems.
And what's even worse: anyone could be next. You could be next.

Happened to me once inside wards. I was able to log in after an hour.

The same thing happened to me when I got disconnected about 2 weeks ago. I had to completely delete my character (That was 50 on 4 different jobs) because I was unable to recover my character. SoE Customer support basically told me that there was nothing they could do and they had no idea what was wrong.

Makes it kind of hard to enjoy a game when you know that one day you could randomly not be able to log on your character and SoE customer support will basically tell you that you have no choice but to delete/remake.

This isn't an acceptable service. What's worse is that this could happen to anyone. Personally I would NOT level a new character.

Same, when I logged back in there were about 100 people in a zone that wasn't a zone designed like the wards, had to leave to get back to a real ward/area.

Just keep going through customer support and you'll have your issue resolved eventually.
But, I do agree it's less than satisfactory.

I tried this.

For a week.

Still can't log on that character and it's been two weeks now, so I just deleted it.
