Graphical Update Concerns Regarding M Viera Face 4

Hi! I was inspired by this thread to make my own posting my thoughts and concerns about how the graphical update impacts the face of my character. I understand theres's been a lot of time and effort going into this graphical rework and I want to clarify I don't think its all bad. I think a lot of the lighting reworks are pretty good and I like the addition of better teeth/mouth parts and clearer whites of characters eyes.

My biggest concerns are regarding the changes to eye shape/details, nose shape and details and lip shape and details. I've spent a lot of time in the character creator (its fun to just play around) and these details were extremely noticeable to me from the start.

For starters, the eye shape is no. 4 which on all races is the eye shape type with longer lashes compared to the other eye shapes. I really like it (hence why I used it) and thought its a cute detail but the graphical update made it so the lashes are much less noticeable and the line around the eye is a lot thinner and less prominent. It looks very similar to eye shape 1 which to me, kind of defeats the purpose of having different eye shapes since if I wanted my eyes to look like shape 1, I would have chosen shape 1.

Another key difference here is the like defined rounder shape of eye 4 has been reduced which again, just makes it look too similar to eye shape 1. Additionally, I use face 4's type 2 mouth which are the plumper and fuller lips. The over all concept of this has remained the same but its a lot smoother in the update which gets rid of some details (i.e. the round w shape of the mouth line and the more defined philtrum (part between nose and upper lip) of the original. The corners of the mouth also come in a little which gives it more defined shape than what the rework changed.

Finally, theres some changes to the nose shape. I use nose shape 1 which has a little bit of a curved shape to it as its not a completely straight nose (and I think its very cute). The update didn't get rid of the curve entirely but it did make the bridge of the nose between the eyes a lot less harshly defined (rounder namely) which does make the curve of the nose slightly less prominent.

This one especially bugs me because I feel like having varied nose shapes that aren't all straight button noses is important and seeing one of face 4's 2 options get smoothed down a bit is a little disappointing to see.

The best way to describe my feelings about these changes is disappointed. I really adore how my character looks currently in the game and I feel like the graphical update is just a downgrade from how he currently looks. I know a lot of time and effort has gone into the rework and as far as I'm aware the benchmark isn't the complete polished final product but I think discussing these concerns is important. In all honesty, if it were to take a couple of more months to adjust the rework to make it look upgraded but closer to the original models than what we currently have I would be more than happy to patiently wait for the next expac. I'm not sure if the devs will see this post but I hope anyone who may be feeling the same as I am about this at the very least feels reassured they aren't the only ones feeling this way. If the devs do see this, thank you kindly for your hard work and I hope these critiques are taken to heart.
