    (Dawntrail Benchmark) Male Viera Face 3: Suggested Tweaks

    Hello! I play a male Rava Viera with Face 3, and while I overall like the graphical update, I noticed a few minor changes that I would like to suggest tweaks for.

    I've attached comparison photos at the end of the post.

    Face 3, Eyes 3:

    In Endwalker, the eyes have a sharper upper eyelid line, making the eyes slightly narrow.

    In the 7.0 Benchmark, the upper eyelid has a slight curve toward it, "opening" the eye more. This changes the feeling of the eyes. Unfortunately, Face 3 does not have any other narrow eye options.

    If possible, I would like to suggest the team preserve the narrow eyes of Face 3, Eyes 3, since there are no other alternatives that resemble the Endwalker eyes.

    Face 3, Lips 2:

    I noticed that in Endwalker, Lips 2 have a slightly upward curve at the corners and the middle tubercle is pointed downward (like the middle point of a M). Together, this makes the lips look like the lips in a "ºωº" or ":3" face. Because of this shape, the lips caught light better, because there were more planes to catch light. This makes the lips look shinier.

    In the 7.0 Benchmark, all the lips have the same exact mouth-shape - it's an almost flat/straight line across the lips. This gives all the lips a neutral expression, and removes the upward curve from Lips 2. The lips are also flatter, which means they catch light more uniformly, and not on varying planes. This makes the lips look matte.

    If possible, I would like to suggest the team preserve the upward curve of the corners of lips 2, and preserve the M shape of the lips' tubercle so the lip still catches light in a more dynamic way. Unfortunately, there are no other alternative lips that resemble the Endwalker lips.

    Lip Color (Light):

    The lip color used to catch light, making the lips "shinier," like lipgloss. I'm not sure why, but the lip color appears to be uniformly dark and matte now, whether dark or light.

    If possible, I would like to suggest the team preserve how the Light lip color is lighter/more transparent, and to preserve how the Light lip color to catches light more strongly, like in the current Endwalker iteration.

    Thank you so much for making the dark noses more prominent on Face 3 for male Viera. I love it so much!

    Additional Consideration (Nosemark Width):

    Perhaps due to the distribution of the darker nosemark, all of the noses on Face 3 look too wide. I don't think it's the nose itself that's wider, but it simply seems wider because the dark marks are very widely distributed on both sides of the bridge and somewhat on the cheek.

    If possible, I would suggest that the dev team make the nose mark appear less wide across the face texture and narrow its scope slightly. This will make the noses not appear as wide, especially when viewed from the front. This would make the noses resemble the width of the Endwalker versions as well.

    Sorry to bump this post again. I had a little more time today, so I tried to illustrate what I mean through outlined screenshots.

    I apologize for how rough the outlines are; I only have a mouse, not a tablet.

    Eyes 3 (slightly rounded upper eyelid, removing the slightly narrow-eyed look)


    Lips 2 (no longer has a pronounced tubercle, no longer has slightly-raised upper lip corners)


    Lip Color (Light) (now dark and matte, no longer catches light well)


    Nosemark (very widely-distributed, so the nose looks wider regardless of specific nose selection)
