DT DoL wishlist ?

I know the benchmark didn't hype much DoL (beside Trolls being the DoL/DoH tribe I guess), but what are some things that would get you excited for DT ?

New class actions ? Upgrades to existing action ? New gathering system ? Space Diadem ?

Global :
-GP regeneration at +10
-Gathering Active Time Events (G is already taken, but can still use D,H,L, M or R)
-Tomb Raiding (like Ocean Fishing but running existing dungeons with nodes for all DoL)

ex:
FSH :
-upgrade (or AA version) of Chum with more than one use
-AA version of surface slap with xAA uses
-rework Fish Eyes ?
-New "Net" (spearfishing) -> fishes have a chance to "bounce" back instead of leaving

MIN/BTN :
-upgrade to "Nophica/Nald'thal's Tidings" : +2 or maybe just double ?
-upgrade to Bountiful Harvest/Yield (quantity+ or chance to last more turns ?)
-something to get GP back while you are on a node
-GP regeneration applied to gathering ticks

The thing I want the most for Fisher is a rework of the bait system.

Make it work like the spearfish gig heads before the rework of spearfishing.

A set amount of baits, like 3 for fresh water, 3 for salt water and 3 special ones you can choose from. Or whatever amount we would need. They will never run out and take up no inventory space.

Since we will not get a special inventory for baits this would be the next best thing.

Tomb Raiding is a nice idea! I'd like something exclusive to Botanist and Miner. Fishers have so many things going on for them while Miners and Botanists have been stuck with the same gameplay loop since ARR. Give us a farm/mine to tend to or access to some exclusive zones and rewards.

Outside of ARR, this basically is what already happens each expansion.

There's only a small handful of bait added each expansion that only is ever used for just the expansion. Once you are done fishing for an expansion you can basically chuck all the bait. With the exception of a few things, you rarely see fishing bait cross expansions.

Okay as someone who plays fisher a lot I have:

1 Universal Bait
3 baits for ocean fishing
like 6 or so baits for the rare fish in ocean fishing
4 baits for Diadem
1 bait for these delivery NPCs
at least 9 baits for different fish I can desynthesize or otherwise need for crafting and making money regularly
And because I am lazy and don't really work on it: Still 6 baits for the legendary fish from ShB - and the fish I need to catch for their intuiton buff.

That's on top of the baits for the current expansion

Plus 3 baits for beast tribes which I arguably don't need to carry around all the time but do it anyway.

Well they all fit into my saddle bag. But having that space for something else? Why not.

The rare fish in ocean fishing operate on a cycle. If you are not actively going after them, is there really that much point having the baits on you at all times?
Diadem baits are ten a penny, ditch them unless you're in diadem. There's a vendor right at the door when you're inside.
Delivery npc specific baits sounds like it's not very worthwhile - 6 fish per week for up to 2 npcs. Is it really worth keeping around 24/7? It's also usually faster to just get the min/btn node but you don't get to fish that way.
How regularly? Daily/weekly/monthly? It may be worth reacquiring the baits when you want/need the fish rather than carting them around with you eternally if it's not particularly regular.
Should be 5 baits for shb legends - dessert dessert frog (egg), squid strip (shade > aquamaton, lancet), robber ball (GSoR chain), baitbug (Listra, ealad), minnow (mora, aqua). If inventory space is vitally important, try and get GSoR as soon as you can, it's up every hour and you can drop down to 4 with it caught. If you make a habit of going to the egg windows, you'll catch it sooner or later too, bringing it down to the 3 intertwined ones.

Understandable that you'd have the current expansion baits, even if carrying them all always seems somewhat excessive.
Don't the beast tribe vendors sell the relevant baits? There can't be that many needed for the daily quests, and hardly any point carrying them everywhere.

With Limsa getting Ocean Fishing, I think Miner/Botanist needs their own "adventure duty" in their own respective city-states.

Ul'dah can have like a minecart ride minigame, (or as someone above mentioned, Tomb Raiding).
And maybe Gridania has some mission to cull back some giant/monstrous plants brought to life by sylphs!

For gathering and crafting both. Streamline the ARR and HW leveling quests like in SB. Have the mats provided by the quest giver for crafting, and the gathered materials be quest only. Add unlocking scrips much earlier, around level 40 and make a level 50 set of gear purchaseable with scrips. Nobody bothers with the current level 50 gear.

You can buy a full level 50 (item level 70) set and main hand tools for crafters with grand company seals. Gatherers only get the tools and a headpiece though.

So the gear already exists and is easily available - just nobody knows.
