Request to add Amber Dyes

Recently, Amber has shifted to my favourite colour spot, but none of the red dyes are yellowy enough, and none of the yellow dyes are red enough. I think amber is a really cool and understated colour that would be of great benefit to many potential future glams. There's a lot of variance behind the more yellow-ish amber, the more orangey sunset amber and the deep red kind of amber that I'd love to see in game.

Plus it's a colour that would most definitely fit Dawntrail's and also what better way to further hype two dye channels than with some all new colours?

i think "metallic yellow dye" is your best bet at least until a better option is added

Mao SOOPER agrees. Mao sad that is no actual dye in game to match vivid purple found on much dungeon gears.

I want to add a request for the blue the Crystal Braves are wearing:

The closest we have is Dragoon Blue Dye but it's very RGB (0,0,100) and the blue they're wearing is a lot easier on the eyes, and more appealing.

I'm also not super satisfied with the range of pinks we have at the moment, they're not very... pink? The Pastel Pink and Cherry Pink feel more red, and the Colibri and Lotus ones are also not the most flattering hues of the color imo. Maybe it's not as much of a problem on gear, because the dye is paired with other colors and mixed with textures anyway, but in housing I've been frustrated a few times by what's available.

It'd be nice if they added more dye options, seeing how they're updating the dye system in general.

i actually agree.

a lot of the dye colours were very "natural" because ARR had this weird hardon for everything appearing to be low-tech and medieval and so most of our dyes skew that way and thus look like poop (metaphorically and for many, literally.) the yellows, oranges and greens are some of the worst contenders for this where there's like 15 variations on piss yellow and baby poop green. reds/oranges don't fare much better either with most of the options being "this belongs on a sign warning you how you will die" and "oops i accidentally put a red shirt in the laundry load of whites with bleach" with no in-betweens.

i also hate the thumbnail preview swatch things in the menu because they never ever look like that on the equipment. it always varies wildly.

It's a good thing you can preview the dye effects then, eh?

Just to be fair: colors look differently on equipment because of a "different material absorbs dye differently" thing that they do with materials adjustments (as far as I remember, at least). Kind of how same dye will look differently on different things irl. So yeah, because of that the thumbnail differs from what you see on equipment, and that's also why there's an actual preview for died item.

But otherwise I agree really - we need both a better selection of colors available and an improvement in how these colors work with materials (although the second one might, somewhat, change with graphic update. Maybe. Maybe not).
