I've done no content, but i'd like to participate in 1.23

I've been a pure crafter/gatherer for a year now, preparing for 2.0 that way.
I got my Pugilist to Rank 50 and completed that original main scenario line.
But, i haven't really done any of the other content...
I've been to Toto-Rak once, and that's it.

So my question is,
with only a couple weeks left until 1.23,
can anyone help me clarify what i should do so i can be ready to participate?

I'm guessing getting my Lancer to 15 and doing the Monk quests is probably important for getting invites? ...and i also did that Lv25 Ifrit quest line, but that's as far as i've gone with the companies and have no idea about unlocking all the other stuff.

You'll likely have to finish up the rest of the mini primals and grand company quests in order to advance the story along in 1.23. From my experience, it would seem that most content just requires Darkhold but it should be relatively easy to clear that with a party of four. ^^

For the live event guessing you need to at least somehow complete the quest where you break the Trasnmitter at Castrum Novum but not 100% sure myself.

well hard to say what needs to be done for 1.23 im guessing Castrom Novum (sp?) might need to be completed so I would aim for that, also getting your MNK fully unlocked is a must. To do this you may need to venture into darkhold to either clear the quest to unlock AV or might need to get a piece of your AF in there (cant remember been a while since I did MNK).

there is a couple things I would aim for, also aim for highest GC rank as well.

Here's what you need to get caught up:

1. Complete the MNK job quest
2. do ALL the GC quests avaliable up to and through United We Stand.
3. do TONS of chocobo escort quests. You will need roughly 35k seals or so to get all the way to Lieutenant

Yeah. The "live" story is mostly the current grand company quests (the main scenario is kind of an "introduction" of sorts).

As far as content goes, no one really knows exactly what will change, what will stay the same, and what will go away forever in 2.0. All we know for sure at the moment is the Wandering Minstrel at Red Rooster Stead will disappear when 1.23 goes live, so if you haven't talked to him and received your Goobbue mount yet, you've got a few weeks left to do that.
