Now to anyone who has been on the forums for a remote amount of time knows I’m probably field content’s biggest defender but I know that it can be a divisive topic with some people who genuinely don’t like it.
So I want to ask, for the people who don’t like field content or don’t like parts but like other parts what do they need to do to it to make you want to play it?
I ask this because I’ve recently returned to doing a lot of Bozja after mostly doing eureka as a side money hustle for most of EW and I’ve been looking at parts of it that I had mostly been ignoring up till then and I kinda realised that I feel like Bozja fixes most of the problems people quote for field content
1) the lost action system carry’s over (though essences don’t) and is deep and complex with many interesting actions and alot of eurekas crap cut out (haymaker anyone)
2) there is a lot of ways to do things in Bozja that help you progress, reflecting sprites for rare essences, deathing star mobs, using OP logos action combos to Zerg down large mob packs
3) the fact that skirmishes don’t spawn CE’s means that you are encouraged to both do skirmishes as well as engage in the systems in 2 to better spawn CE’s
4) CE’s are full blown alliance raid boss level designs and there is over 30 of them across the two zones unlike eureka’s rather lacklustre NM’s
5) there is 4 large scale alliance style raids within Bozja that are all unique and well designed with unique mechanics (the prisoners in CLL, the paired hallways in dal, twice come ruin in DRN) and three of them are alliance raid level so it doesn’t run into eurekas problem of the only large scale raid being extreme level
6) bozja’s 4 grindiest titles: emblazoned (10/10/10), delubrum delver (5 clears of DRS), gunhildr’s blade (all 6 duels) and the 50 field notes mount are all totally optional ways you can increase the amount of time you spend in the zone without negatively affecting anyone who would rather leave after they clear dalriada and leave the story
7) duels form the best example of solo extreme content in the game
If Bozja didn’t fix what you didn’t like about eureka then what do you still want improved that could realistically implemented (IE like not saying “put field content in the overworld”)

The only reason I did field content is because of:
Duels
DR and DRS
BA
CLL and Dalriada
Relics
Fun action system (especially pre-nerf ShB Blood Rage WAR)
And these are fun enough that I actually got all ShB relics.
If they want to make field content better they need to make the open world contain more than boring zergfest FATEs (or even worse, just mobs), it's really that simple.
Come to think of it modern FF14 combat is so bad and so boring and so braindead the next field content open world should not use FF14 combat, for example Ocean Exploration with ship combat. So the open world is ship combat but then the islands contain large-scale raids using the usual FF14 combat. -

don't get me wrong, i do my fair share of bozja, but the color scheme man, that color scheme. brown in more brown is just aweful. I get that it's a battlefield but i can't spend more than 30 minutes there.

I think maybe if I was given more a reason to care and it was tied more into the theme of the expansion. Like Domans v Garleans if they had this in SB. Maybe this time a field in the realm of the gods could have had all kinds of mystical things to encounter.
I know it’s side content but since this is a question for those not already sold on it, making me care enough to go in the first place would be a good step.
And yes while some may disagree, I don’t really play fantasy MMO to spend many hours in a more dreary setting like Bozja. -
