Dawntrail is the expansion we needed after Endwalker

After seeing the trailer for Dawntrail, everything about the expansion has the feels of what is needed after what we went through in Endwalker. I am really looking forward to it even though it's not until June / July 2024 and willing to wait for it because it looks like it will be worth it!

Am rather hoping it's genuine, as it's an nice counter to the 'disappointment' threads.

Bummed on the long wait tbh, but the trailer looks like this expansion will be fun, even if it's generally more of the same.

If serious, then I'm withholding judgment at any rate. But a more grounded story is appreciated.

It shouldn't need to be a counter. People should be free to express themselves in a manner they so wish without it being a counter or a response to something else.

It's this kind of statement that is going the encourage some people to lobby around this argument in a veiled attempt to just derail it.

A lot of the areas kind of look like Thavnair 2.0 with more flower pots and better shaders, the gap in between now and the expansion is also huge, hopefully the expansion lives up to expectations and content actually becomes fun instead of being done 2 days to a week in every patch.

Hopefully a new housing area also comes out and proper themed furnitures instead of random furnitures with completely different themes that make no sense

This also, this forum is all about "counter negativity" a lot of the time, and its not genuine one bit, its basically just "oh there's a negative post ? let me make a positive one to counter it !"

I'm excited for it. New story, new location, new cultures and characters.

I'm fine with low stakes as long as it's fun and the characters are likeable.

I hope it is genuine as I am also genuinely happy that we are taking a step back from the world ending threats for some fun and competition in essentially South America. Sure they did say that they have 2 more expansion ideas in mind already but this expansion is where I thought the story was going to go during patch 6.1. Glad they are going full swing into it.

Yes, I am genuinely happy to see this expansion, its theme and the wonderful use of colors. It feels like a wonderful, vibrant, adventure in contrast to what we experienced in Endwalker.

For me, I really needed this expansion!

That's not what I meant.

What I meant (though didn't really make it as clear as I should've) is that it'd be refreshing to have a thread created specifically to discuss a positive opinion around the teaser trailer, since we already have at least two or three threads specifically discussing negative opinion of it.
