Materia DC and DC travel.

Disclaimer:
I don't play on Materia anymore, i left because it was a horrible experience with how small the player base is. People have other opinions, and they have every right to have them. This is my personal feelings on the DC and nobody elses.

Main:
Materia Datacenter suffers from the lack of accessibility to a player base large enough to sustain itself. Queues can be hours long for content such as Alliance Raids and off-peak regular dungeons.

Some people are fine with this, but others are certainly not, and end up leaving.

I personally moved to Dynamis DC, another fresh DC that has access to DC travel, alleviating all the problems that Materia DC suffers from by simply having access to larger Datacenters to travel and play on.

Materia DC NEEDS access to Datacenter travel in 6.3, Majority of the players from Materia are originally from Elemental, there is no reason why Materia is not linked to JP servers, other than the Language Difference (Which shouldn't really matter because Majority of people played there for years anyway).

If JP is out of the question, Give Materia players access to DC travel to North America.

Every day i see more and more OCE players moving back to Elemental or NA. Square Enix need to address the issue soon, as it's becoming more and more of a ghost town as time goes on.

DC Travel has to be implemented in order for the Datacenter to function normally.

DC travel will make the problem of low population worse.

Oce players have an active party finder, you can get things done in peak times. Also even has a large active hunt, pvp and rp scene.

The main problem is RMT, from my experience, with little to nothing done by SE at all.

There are many players who stay to make the data centre better and are trying hard.

Amelimie...many of the players who leave OCE are going back to JP datacentres...just so you know.

Dixie, Vel is on Elemental / Kujata..if you ever have the time to roll an alt there, come say hi, first round at the Drowning Wench or the Carline is on me. You and I didnt agree at first, but reluctantly I realised you were right.

To an extent, that's a good thing. It certainly does force me to go to bed at a semi-reasonable time versus JP having wired me into the "reset time is queue time" mentality despite being 2-3 hours later in the night for me than the majority of the server population.

I was on Tonberry for a bit and ended up moving off to NA for something different.

Raiding here is.. eh.. strats are whack af. i really miss JP PF strats. But overall im happy with the move, the pings only ~30 more than JP and the people are honestly hilarious to be around.

Very original idea.

If you are happy leaving Materia, I feel good for you but Materia is already struggling and it's kinda bad form to encourage more players to leave the server without giving it a chance to develop its own community imo.

This is the thing Denada it's constant back n forth of do I leave or wait around for it to grow but I feel like the Materia DC already peaked early on with it's population. If I wait any longer for people to get PS5s or for updates to bring new people in it's going to be the next expansion by the time I hit endgame on my alt due to the queues and having to play at very specific hours to get things done to progress MSQ. I made an alt on OCE to play PVP on a good ping, managed to get a few games of FL going early on but as soon as CC became the only PVP mode I could play on that server I knew things were dying already. Even if I queue at these supposed peak hours Frontline says more than 30 minutes and after seeing that enough times I'm just about ready to head back to JP. I try to stick around the best to my ability, I've got an alt and a house there but if I don't see growth within the first week or two of 6.3 or even leading up to it I'll probably be heading to another DC to be able to enjoy things like PVP changes and endgame.
