Endwalker MSQ gripe - *early spoilers*

In what universe does a chosen entity that can single-handedly murder primals (Ifrit, Tsukuyomi, Ravana... unless I misunderstood something?) just rolls over because a wounded commander and a pack of freezing bums in a subway ditch want to collar his companions out of distrust?

Seriously, the answers you get are sooooo meak xD

Here's how to get that point across and save a couple quests: knock every last one of them on their ass, then go "See, I could invade your country alone if I wanted to. I'm here to help. Can we be civil now?"

Like, bros, I'm not trapped in here with you, you're trapped in here with me. Know your place ^^

Seems a lot more effective than trying to look as pathetic as possible in the hopes of getting pity points to buy your seal of approval with at the Garlemald gift sotre :P

These RPG people are lucky I don't get a say in how the MC behaves, I'd go full Vegeta / Ainz Ooal Gown on their ass.

We're trying to help them, not intimidate them – and we're specifically trying to not be the violent thugs they assume us to be.

Threatening them might solve the immediate problem but it's going to make things harder in the long run.

And keep in mind your that big of a bad ass that even collaring your buds is no threat really so your just playing along in the hopes of peaceful coexistence, that they might actually see that we are all equals.

There's a difference between being a thug and letting people walk all over you, imo. As in, if we walk in there and start murdering them that's one thing, but as it stands we went in for a civil discussion and were attacked. At that point it's about making it painfully clear that there will be no threats made here, and that goes for them as well.

You only come off as peaceful or empathic in a conflict if you've shown yourself to be capable of great violence, and then show obvious restraint. Otherwise you're just going to be considered harmless, not peaceful.

I mean, you don't even have to be as arrogant as I described above, it's just that the main cast has such a roundabout way of expressing anything that it gets on my nerves sometimes.

The twins especially. Endless monologues about abstract idealism and pointless linguistic flourish. Gets old when you're trying to get things done.

They already know who you are. They literally say there is nothing they can do to prevent you from leaving, which is why they threaten you with the twins lol.

That's true. I'm curious as to why they would even contemplate keeping any of you there tho, but that's where I stopped for the day, so I can't say for sure atm.

This is probably the only part of the EW Story where I wasn‘t happy how it played out. I completely agree that as soon as they started to get hostile we should have got the option to put them in their place. Not kill them, but making clear we ain‘t got time for their crap.

It's a pretty old concept. Pretty sure there's a bunch of similar quotes floating around with pictures of lions or something. Though I feel you may have a specific association in mind that I don't quite grasp ^^

I doubt this would appease their tensions and mistrust about us.
They are already cautious of us and our intentions. Beating them, even in defense would do nothing to make the communications easier.

Also the twins gave their ok from the start, using violence wasn't necessary as proven by the plot.
