[6.2] Why the MCH nerf?

Can someone please dropkick the devs? This is straight out painful.

Like, really, what were they thinking? If I remember, all ranged classes sucked ass compared to melees in terms of raw DPS and now they nerf the only class that was somewhat close to melees. I mean it's understandable that their DPS is lower than casters and melees because they don't have to cast / hit positionals, but MCH has literally no support skills / buffs so it's just getting worse. Did they really think that MCH is too OP now and they just had to nerf it?

Would be fun to see DNC overdps'ing you now.

They only nerfed the rook, once it updates to queen there is no nerf in potencies. They changed it so instead of your pet being out for longer based on battery gauge it has a set duration and the damage increases based on battery gauge. If anything this is a buff at max level as you now get more power in a shorter duration (more likely to fit it into buff windows/avoid losing it to boss jumps).

This is correct as the previous tooltips for abilities used to say "Potency increases as Battery Gauge exceeds required cost at time of deployment." never gave you the actual amount of the increase and was very vague in the wording to say the least.

It depends. The Queens rollerdash and armpunch did get a potential buff to double their attack potency at 100% battery gage. The potential problems are that with the queens summoning animation and shortened time frame it could potentially either do the same amount of damage as before or a nominal increase. The second problem comes into play depending on the fight itself. We are seeing an increase in mechanics where the boss becomes non-targetable for periods before burst windows, meaning its potentially harder to fill the battery gage to 100% for following burst windows after the initial opening. And outside of 3 attacks (Air Anchor, proc heated clean shot, and chainsaw) there are no other abilities that synergize or effect the battery gage.
