Why are there two seasons in a patch in PVP?

So every patch there are two CC ranking seasons.
But why?
They don't offer any gameplay changes, new rewards (the framing kits don't count) and there is no PVP series to grind alongside. So like, what is the point of making two seasons instead of one, one with every PVP series? Especially since at that point most people aren't interested and as a result matches take forever to find and you play against the same players.

The Feast used to run on a similar timeline, although the rewards the better with limited mounts. They just kept the twice a patch seasons for Crystalline Conflict.

Essentially what Espon said. Problem is fundamentally SE caving too hard on the casuals and thus ripped any and all incentive aside some paltry borders for me to take Ranked seriously and attempt a Top 100 ranking on my DC.

I feel that mounts and glamours were wasted on the old system. That said, I have no problem with ranked having something better than adventurer plate frames. Just not glamours (full armor/weapon sets) and mounts again. I'd be okay with an exclusive headpiece and the like though, or earrings. Perhaps some accessories and the like would be feasible as well, like wings, parasols, etc, or even some super extra fancy titles. Those type of accessories should persist through regular gameplay instead of functioning as mounts at a base level. I really wish they would have designed those accessories for more than just gpose.

Because PvP is an afterthought and sometimes an idea makes sense and others fall flat. Normally I play a game just for the PvP aspect but since it's...not great on here I tend to play the game to socialize.

A guess, but perhaps to offer opportunity twice, of course some will play through both but others might drop it. Also as there is other content at release so some people might want to do that first and come back around to pvp later.

On the topic of rewards: Honestly glad at every opportunity that something is not lost, I really do not favor missable content. The borders perhaps is fine, or achievement titles, and to counter borders and the like being meh.. if they're introduced into more content I think they'd become more interesting. At the beginning or end of normal dungeons, mail, commendations?, etc.

Lost content, imo, plays to a sad part of our nature with FOMO / have and have nots and am not impressed or sold of it's value, on a personal level, though I admit things like FOMO do 'work'.. I just don't appreciate it. Form of psychological manipulation that doesn't make me feel good, unlike say neat sounds on leveling or something lol.

I'm personally fine with time gated things though, if it takes time to access again or if it's super hard for a while and then becomes more reasonable for example.

If it's mostly about the naming then it's just SE being silly with having what most other battle pass type stuff labels them. They should be switched. I'm fine with season one stuff being able to be gotten until series 3 and season two start. I do hope that there will be more than adventure plate glamor even if I'm not going to try and rank up.
