Is it possible to add a new DoH?

We've been getting new DoW/DoM jobs every expansion, but we've kept the same 8 crafters for over 10 years, since 1.0. They've even had an unofficial crafter in the game since at least Heavensward: Stonemason. There's a whole slew of NPC stonemasons tied to the Moogle beast tribe quest, for instance.

It wouldn't even be difficult to manage, a lot of the other crafts use stone in some capacity. I checked, and there are plenty of crafts involving stones and rocks that aren't jewelry, like using marble, granite, whetstones, and some stone ingots.

I saw crafts from crp, bsm, arm, gsm, and alc that could be swapped over, mostly housing items. And all the gsm secondary tools (grind wheels) could also be for this, as well as a number of weapons and tools that could be made out of stone or are already. Additionally, all the 'bone' crafted items seem much more fitting under this new crafter.

Granted, the majority of crafts using these materials are for housing items, but that makes perfect sense.

Primary tool: Chisel and mallet ( counted as 1 item)
Secondary tool: Trowel

Primary element: earth
Secondary element: water

they've already pretty much said there'll never be another DoH/DoL class added ever.

What does "just swapping crafts over" accomplish? It's just arbitrarily adding a new class for the sake of diluting the crafting without adding anything new.

Sorry to disappoint you, zaverxi. But I think we gotta keep in mind that all DoH classes have the same actions/buttons. Any additional DoH class won't have any kind of different game play.
This is unlikely DoW/DoM. So we can't say, "Look, DoW/DoM are having more jobs every expac, why not add a DoH?"
There won't be any players that will "main" the new DoH as it's exactly the same game play as all other DoHs...
Everyone is pretty much an omnicrafter now (ever since they made leveling a joke via Ishgard Restoration), so that new DoH will not provide us any new "fun", but just be a slight burden to level (that takes perhaps 1 to 2 days, but still a slight burden).
If this is just for the sake of the name of a "Stonemason" that uses a chisel or a mallet, and with some class-specific new glam that probably no one will use because shared gear is just more convenient, then I don't think it's worth the work of the developers either.

I would love to see an Artist DOH. I have no idea what they would create, maybe primarily house items and dyes or something but it would be cool to have.
