That would be welcome. More nonstandard mount music in general would be great, especially when I've spent weeks earning the mount, e.g. Gold Saucer mounts or beast tribes.
Some of them already do.
To be fair I would just like access to my orhcestrion anywhere in the game including in duties so I can listen to whatever I want when I want without needing Youtube open in the background. Would be a great addition and more reason to collect and buy the scrolls from mogstation.
guys how many times do we have to quote the live letter where Soken explained that this isn't possible with the current setup of the game?
I checked his explanation, the technical limitation doesn't make any sense. This is nothing unusual in Q&As, they often claim something can't be done, when it absolutely can. Good examples of this are Viera/Hrothgar headgear; the mount etc. obtained checkmark Yoshi said they can't do that they subsequently added in 6.1 (it was always possible); displaying whether an attack is physical or magical (the client already has this information).
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...ocobo/h8ib39u/ A good rundown on how the mount BGM works. Mount BGM is no different from any other piece of BGM with the exception of Orchestrion rolls.
This is what I want too!!! I keep saying to make a chocobo radio. People have their chocobo almost from the beginning of the game anyway. How nice it would be to access orchestration that you collected on your chocobo.
But every time i say this it gets ignored. Sadge.
Ok that being the case or not regardless, it then becomes a matter of is it worth the dev time to put in? currently and within the foreseeable future, probably not, and seeing as how busy Soken is all the time I can't see the sound team being tasked with modifying the status quo anytime soon.
Lmao it's not that complicated. A third party tool does it already even. Also, they are adding in "useless" or "unneeded" features all the time so I don't see why you would be so against this? The sound team wouldn't even work on this feature like this you silly.
