we need a smarter text auto-advance
could the text auto-advance have an option to only auto-advance voice-acted lines?
or perhaps have the two act independently from one another?
an issue i have is that i set it to auto-advance quickly when the cutscenes are playing, simply so i can sit back and relax without worrying about pressing num0 or clicking through, so as not to break immersion from the voiced cutscenes. however, i always forget to disable it just before the cutscene ends, as it's not always clear when it'll end, to begin with. so, the next cutscene will have texts sped up to the maximum as a result, and i miss what they say as i can't read that fast, so i have to disable it after having missed a few dialogues. (i also noticed this doesn't affect every non-voiced text in certain cutscenes, but i haven't found a pattern yet.)
edit:
i loved this idea too:
