Apartment: Ideas & Updates

Given how severe the situation with housing it seems,

Why not expand the apartment to least have 200 capacity, an additional room or rather expand it & just more freedom to experiment with layouts & indoor-default windows?

It rattles me how our “apartments” are actually bachelor’s single units & once more I feel forced to add walls to create the allusion of rooms & quite often having too many furnitures makes the space feel cluttered/hoarding & just really….limited..

This might be an avenue for some players to take a different approach than just go through the rough process for lottery/home purchasing.

PS: This could apply likewise to FC’s rooms

PSS: Is it me or is the upper floor for Small size houses are much more smaller than an apartment’s?

a smalls ground floor is 3x3 squares (excluding the stairway that wasnt there originally)

apartments and fc rooms are 4x3 squares

Small houses also have a basement that is larger than an apartment. It you exclude the side with the stairwell, it's 3x5. That's something that frequently gets overlooked.

Considering we can make use of the stairwell area for decorating using the storage glitch, that makes a small more than twice the size of an apartment.

Thank you for supplying that information. Would you believe that no amount of Googling was able to turn up the size difference between apartments and small houses? There may only be a few small houses left on my server once the new round opens up but I will try for one because at least it gives, now that I know from your post, a bit more space to work with.

I'll add: give them some form of instanced garden too. Maybe a terraced balcony, idk, something so that people can do outdoor stuff in an apartment. I think having a garden is a huge thing that puts houses over apartments.
