sound cut out

since 6.1 , the game seems to cut my sound off and i can't turn it back on . The only way i can do it is by quitting the game and come back . Only today its did happened 5 times and i'am tired of always have to shut down . It doesn't do that on any other game except FF14 . I'am on windows 11 and I use headset . I'm I the only one with that trouble ?

i've had it happen once (this patch) so far, and a friend of mine has it happen about once a day/session, no clue why.

Had this problem since I started playing in SHB, and its been a problem since the game was released supposedly, is there like any reason why this happens? Its kind of insane theres been no fix, and all sorts of weird --sometimes-- working solutions like virtual audio and such, but nothing is a guarantee.

Hello boss!

Yes I am using headphones, and it primarily occurs during PvP, and namely Crystalline Conflict. It has also happened in PvE areas as well but I feel like in PvP because a lot more spells are going off, it seems the sound cuts out when a new is scheduled to play, and the game becomes entirely mute, only a full restart would help the problem. Might I suggest as this is such a long standing issue, to consider adding a sound engine restart option to save players from restarting their game?

I shall submit a report.

My sound seems to go out midway through The Fell Court of Troia. It happened to me on 5/29 and 5/30 in the same dungeon. I also asked party members if they experienced the same thing and they confirmed the same issue. The only way to get back sound is by exiting the game and restart.

I can confirm this as well. I also use headphones when playing.

I will try using speakers but as of now FF14 is the only game/application that does this since the 6.4 patch.

Has the audio issue been solved in this latest patch? I was one of the ones where the audio cut-out after 30-40 minutes. I've held back on progressing quest line as i would like to hear the sound. The issues was recognized two weeks ago - and it was said it would take two weeks to resolve - but i have not heard any further comment from SE as to whether the issue has been resolved....
