Realistic Housing Experience

Not sure about everyone else but I for one love the realizm of how the housing system played out. Just like real life the bank/system bought out these houses last minute through sketchy means, thus screwing us out of our houses. I applaud Yoshi-P and the dev team for thinking of this and implementing it secretly to make their game more realistic to the real housing market.

Thank you for this. This has honestly improved my sour mood about the whole thing. This will now be my new head canon over the whole situation.

Make it more realistic. Charge property owners property tax.

Oof Aion did this and they had some steep prices for paying rent on your house. I really hope they don't implement a tax, but if they did I would hope it would be a big tax.

Most of the people/fc with Large houses have hundreds of millions of gil.
They can afford it.

LOTRO also had a system where you paid monthly to keep your plot. I'm not even against it. The game needs a few gil sinks.. heck for all I care make it for FC owned buildings only. It'd help weed out some of those one person FCs if they didn't want to put in the work for it.

Ironically, it's the one-person FCs who would care the least. Most of these one-man FCs are basically just alt accounts so players can abuse the submarines. Seeing as you can only get 4 per FC and send out 4 voyages at a time, every house they can get and every FC they can buy is more subs for more farming and ultimately, this is where these players get their gil from. If someone is so deep into it that they have a bunch of houses, you'd best believe they basically have an unlimited supply of gil.

Haha I'm glad I made your day slightly brighter. Of course this post is a joke but it does ironically relate to real life housing issues.
