What people expect from this housing blunder.

I think its fair to say this blunder is going to have severe consequences for the dev team.

Not only do they have to find and address the issue, but also come to a decision on the plot allocations that were already won.

Were the plots that won, a result of the bug?
Who knows, Nobody is going to believe they lost fairly.

To those who were the sole bidders on a plot, are you going to be allocated the plot or forced to sit through another stressful housing lottery?

People that were sole bidders SHOULD be allocated the plot they were bidding on, and not forced to be put through the system again.

I expect them to fix the bug so that it doesn't happen again.

Any remedy for the problems the glitch caused shouldn't cause additional problems.

To me, this means that if a plot didn't get hit by the 0 or no participants bug and someone won, then that person gets to keep the lot. The losers did get their gil back so it's not like they are out of money for it.

To many technical issues to solve to redo the bids on the plots where someone won.

But yes, if there's a way to track the sole bidders and give them the lot, then that should be done.

It should be possible as all the bids are saved in a database on their end, it just means a lot of manual work for the team to sit down and manually allocate each house to each buyer.
Good way to punish the dev who overlooked the rand() command and forgot to remove 0 from the results XD

Honestly just remedy the bug issue so it doesn't happen again, and open up all those unoccupied FC wards/plots to individual lottery. It's not rocket science tbh.
Yeah the people who got screwed by the 0 issue are still screwed, but at least they'd have more options for the next go-around. Ain't perfect but I'd be happy.

I am a sole bidder and waiting to glamourize my house is killing me ....I can't take it ..

I expect they will apologize, say nothing can be done to give the people who lost on a 0 roll anything but another chance to enter the lotto. Players who can’t get their money now will get their money returned. The bug won’t happen in the next lotto period.

They might open FC wards by server basis in 6.2 They might add more wards in 6.2, but I doubt it because island sanctuaries and new servers are coming in August. That’s my guess.

The housing system will continue to be extremely frustrating and the people who wanted a lottery system will still be upset because they still don’t have a house. Maybe in 7.0, if island sanctuaries aren’t instanced housing already, they may add instanced housing if people keep asking. Remember people begged over and over for the fair lottery system. Maybe now they’ll beg for instanced housing.

People have been begging for instanced housing since HW. I don't remember a huge amount begging for a lottery system.

I expect to get the plot I was the only one to bid on, and then waited for 5 days while they held my gil, only to get stiffed.

I started playing the end of HW. Every week, before the lottery system was announced, I would see various housing issues threads. Most of these were people hating auto clickers/bots and asking for a lotto system to make it fair. Over and over people asked for this because they still wanted their neighborhoods. Others would chime in here and there for instanced housing, but those posts didn’t get near as many likes from the community. Now maybe the lotto supporters will switch sides to instanced housing. It’s my hope they will. We have more players now. It’s time.

Same, I have my Paissa Mansion walls all ready now for when they solve the problem.
