High Jump changes instantly to Mirage Dive, causing accidental double weaving often
Date & Time: since the inception of patch 6.1.
Frequency: all the time.
World name: Moogle.
Character name: Aco Nale.
Class/Level: DRG, level 90.
Party or solo: all the time.
In-game time: all the time.
Steps:
1. Do your rotation normally and use High Jump, the action changes instantly to Mirage Dive.
2. Unless the High Jump key is pressed once or maybe twice, the Mirage Dive button will be instantly queued and used, resulting in unintentional double weaves very often.
Explanation:
This behavior is not observed in other actions that replace others such as Geirskogul and Nastrond or Salted Earth and Salt and Darkness.
What is happening right now is that HJ changes to MD so fast that accidental double weaves occur unless one is especially mindful to press the key only once, but this can be a problem during hectic situations and goes against the action queueing system of the game, since you want to make sure HJ goes out, but you may or may not want MD to be weaved in that specific oGCD slot at that point.
Solution:
Revert the HJ into MD change; or make it so that there's a grace window in which it can't be instantly queued (like Nastrond when going into life) by accident but that still allows it to be double weaved with HJ if the user so desires.
The change made is not making the job smoother, but the complete opposite, therefore it'd be appreciated if a hotfix was implemented so as not to have to deal with this for a prolonged period of time.
