Gorgeous graphical error

I have been doing baldesion arsenal then this happened somewhere during the ozma fight. We figured it's a graphical bug and it was gone after a restart but damn, I would prefer to keep the wings this way. Weapon: Wings of Divine Light

You mean I'm not allowed to encounter bugs? I sure would not mind avoiding them, just tell me how.

iirc its a bug that can be replicated and is used to get relic weapon glows to persist. check reddit

Thanks for the info, I was googling for a short while and found nothing about the glow, do you happen to have the link?

I think dapperfaffer was referring to...
Make a marco with the two lines:
/bm
/sit

Then equip a weapon that has a glow/particle effect, turn on display weapon in your character paper doll window, be standing and not in combat with weapons sheathed, then run that macro and as soon as your character sits, press a movement key to stand back up.

Now your sheathed weapon will have it's glow/particle effect ON.
If you get into combat, zone, or un-sheath and then re-sheath your weapon, it will turn OFF.

That said, it looks like you weapons got "stuck" with the particle effect of casting.... um.... Dyskrasia (I think) or such (well, one of the white glow cast effect spells, that is), instead of the normal Wings of Divine Light glow effect?
Because it looks like the spell glow effect when casting, but the wings are still horizontal and not pointing straight up as they do during the cast in your images.

I had a similar bug one time – it also started in Eureka, but in Anemos. I had a big ball of light floating in front of my character that persisted through class changes until I logged out. I don't think other people were able to see it.

This happened with a friend's glowy red mage weapon at one point in Eureka; the glow for the focus persisted even after he changed classes.

That was it, thank you. Made some tests in the morning in eureka, it is the Dosis cast animation that got stuck, guess when I died during Ozma fight, maybe spirit of the remembered had a small role in it with its quick revive, but anyway thanks for helping me solve the mystery.

I had a glitch back in eureka during stormblood when playing Warrior where the visual effect from a couple of it's buffs became active permanently. It even followed to other jobs when I changed jobs later so I could have a WHM with glowing red eyes and a tempest of angry energy swirling around them lol.
