Palace Of The Dead SOLO: Changes Needed

After having solo'd The Palace Of The Dead, I had a suggestion for the achievements. It was very disheartening after I solo'd floors 1-50 to realize I had to die on floor 51 in order for it to record a score to get the achievement.

I chose to brave it, and I continued on to floor 100. I didn't think that I could make it to floor 200 without having done the floors before, so I chose to die on floor 101 to record the score and get the achievements. I wasn't even sure if it would give me the first achievement (but it did, thankfully.)

I think that the 'and record a score' portion of the achievements should be removed. We shouldn't have to start over from floor 1. We should have just solo'd floors 1-50, or 1-100, gotten the achievement as soon as we kill the floor 50/100 boss and be able to hold onto that save for later when we're ready to attempt floors 1-200.

Knowing I have to start over from floor 1 is making me gag and not want to do it at all: I've already done it. It'd be different if I could start at floor 100 now that I've solo'd it and proven I can do it. It'd be one thing if we died to have to start over: But the achievements force you to start over.

Dying on any floor after 50/100 gives you respective achievement. It doesn't have to be 51/101 exactly.

Those achievements are for getting from 1 to <respective floor>. They are meant to be insanely difficult, and not for the feint of heart. I doubt that'll change as not all content is for everyone by intent. There is rather, some content for everyone, and this is the best way imo.

Nowhere in the thread does it say to get rid of difficulty. However, forcing someone to DIE (And have to start all over for floors 1-100, or 1-200) is stupid. Just give them the achievement when they kill the 50th, and 100th bosses respectively without them having to die on some other floor. There's no point in making someone start all over just for the achievement to go off, or forcing them to do 1-200 all in one go. I guess you didn't read the post. It's only saying to remove the requirement of DYING (AKA: Purposefully failing) after those floors for the achievements to go off.

I absolutely don't know what archivment you talk about that needs you to die.
And when you attempt a solo run, then you will die anyway on stages 50-100 and 100-200... Many, many times.

And part of the potd solo challenge is the start at 1.
It would make it far to easy when you just start on 100 or even 150.
Because the time investment is also part of it.

only change id want for potd is to still be allowed to retry floors even after a fail just so doesn't take 12 hours to just practice behemoth
and obviously lose chance at title,Sacks and pomanders used on previous attempts.

The achievements you get for clearing PotD floor 1-50 or 1-100 solo dont show up until you die on a higher floor. You dont get them when clearing floor 50/100 solo but once you die on a higher floor (or, I assume, once you reach floor 200?).

I dont see a problem with this, though - you dont need to die on floor 51/101, you can just go on and if you die eventually on floor 173 you should get the achievements.

You didn't have to die though. You could have kept going and the stuff would have unlocked anyway whenever you did die.

Maybe a better way to ask the question is:
If I solo from 1-200 and don't die at all, do I get all the achievements (solo to 50, solo to 100, solo to 200)?

Yes. You get the respective achievement for recording a score at floor X or above. And to record a score you have to end a run either through dying or reaching floor 200.
