Ignoring people should make their threads not display.

Even facebook does this. If I put someone on my ignore list, it should be like they effectively don't exist.

Agreed, broadcasting that you've just blocked or ignored someone is a petty move. Just because you've done that doesn't mean that you've won an argument, it's literally throwing your hands up in defeat!
