Causal to Ninja

Before EW, I used to replace aeolian edge with armor crush, 1) it clears a hotkey slot 2)it extends huton 3) it's 20 potency difference.

Now we have huraijin, it refresh huton to max duration anyway. So I removed armor crush and only use aeolian edge.

Right off the bat you should be able to see that Armor Crush's combo potency is a whopping 140 potency higher than Huraijin's 200 potency, and 200 potency higher when executed from the flank.

I'm not some Ninja guru, but the only reason I could see someone using Huraijin is if they just died and need to reapply Huton asap or after a phase transition/boss coming back from being unable to target them.

I am also not a DDR main, but from looking at various Ninja threads and discussion topics, it has been made clear to me that using Hurajin in standard rotation is trolling of the highest order.

i mean... if you like me who just play it casually doing pug run, duty roulette, etc. sure huraijin is perfect for it, i doubt anyone will mind if you doing casual stuff.

on savage stuff though... eh thats up to you, i've seen people sensitive to this kind of stuff so i cant say.

If you have the OP's mindset and go into Savage, please don't.
It's a waste of everyones time.
It's not about being sensitive there is a reason why people expect you to have melds and food buffs too, and chances are that if you do this kinda stuff that you're also not bothering with a lot of other stuff too.

If you're looking for validation, it's your sub so do whatever you want. It's not a good way to play in terms of performance, so you'll have to decide what's important to you (and others). The last thing I'd suggest is to try out some different classes - healers in particular have fewer buttons (maybe not AST) and simpler choices/rotations (since FF14 damage tends to be pretty regular/predictable).

The point is for causal playstyle, the new skill removes the need of a flank positional. And because you only need to rebuff once every minute, you stick at the boss' rear and reduce chance of failing positionals, just that.
I don't know what makes you think your group is something that would appeal to me though, maybe it does, but not with people like you in it, just FYI, and this is the point of the second sentence in case you also need to ask.

Very true, which makes me develop different playstyles, NIN is one of my favorite jobs, I play it in group content whenever I want to rest my brain and just enjoy the mechanics and scenary.

The reason people seem sort of horrified at what you are saying you do is how much of a loss Hurajin is over doing a proper rotation. Even in casual content, it slows things down.

You do you, just understand why someone would be unhappy if they saw you doing this in a party.

Imagine being a DPS that actively chooses to gimp their own damage for no discernible reason. Absolutely bonkers.

Dont worry i assure you you will never see me in savage, there is reason why i avoid savage like a plague and this is one of the reason, iam just talking about casual and i already got "i hope i never have you in my group" response, its why i avoid savage, avoid people who demand 120% perfection during play or else, which i cant.

And this is only "talk", i cant imagine how this will go if it happen in the middle of savage party.
