About the event...

I'll leave here a thank you, a complaint, and a tip.

First, I would like to thank you for the event. In my opinion, it was a well done event, I really liked the dungeon and that they didn't forget to open the haunted mansion, despite there being no quests inside. Just wanted to say thank you for FINALLY doing the halloween event. I feel like I complain too much, but I never publicly thank the things I like, so congratulations Square Enix.

The complaint would be about having yet another event where two of your races can't use the items in their entirety. Is it really that difficult to fit a top hat on hrothgar and vieras? The modders once again got ahead of the billion-dollar company, and they didn't even ask a dollar for it. Wasn't two years working with the new races enough for you to learn how to make hats for them, Square Enix?

The tip is for those who play with these two forgotten races. Unfortunately, it needs an item from the mogstation. But if you already have a Reindeer Antler Headband, you can wear a glowing red nose. The only thing is that there is no way to remove the horns.

I came to post about the same. Given the recent attention given to the new races, I really had high hopes that we'd finally stop being cut out of events at least. But no....not the case. I just can't understand it, they could have at least given us just the clown nose? Just shrunk down the hat like the miniture hats the viera sometimes get?

I would have absolutely LOVED a tiny viera top hat. The only way I can use the item now, is if I choose to use mods, but that's againt ToS, and I shouldn't have to mod the game in order to fully enjoy an event anyway.

I have bucket loads of love for the development team and how much work has gone into Endwalker. I've never enjoyed a game as much as I've enjoyed the new expansion, but I just can't help feeling really negative about how the new races are being presented when they are *still* cutting players out of events and loot in this way. What's even the point of spending resources developing races when they can't be used to the full extend of existing races, and end up cutting you out of events and drops if you play them?

Exactly. On the one hand Square Enix says "don't use mods", on the other I see a lot of people managing to wear a series of hats and hair, which I can't use for fear of losing my account.

If they don't want people to use it, why do they seem to encourage this type of content?

It's gross to think when they do this it's ok. Again as a human who has zero plans playing as either of the two neglected races... FIX YO SHIT!

This!! Even if they just gave a Hat and nose Option or Just a nose option. I see that as a possibility if they could not get the hat to work for Vieragar. somethings better than nothin!

On the plus side they can use the face paint. lol But yeah, I wasn't expecting to be able to wear the hat, but allowing the nose to show would have been nice.

I still find it funny those that do mods can make them work for hair and hats, but SE can't. They really need to step up there a game and fix it already.

Those mods are run client side, unless you post SS or tell people in game you are using these things, how will anyone know?
