ARR and Heavensward flying suggestion

Hello, i find it kinda strange, that when u unlock your first chocobo, you are already able to fly in AAR.
Cuz when i went to Heavensward and found out i have to attune to currents, I became kinda mixed since i could, now i can't. To be fair, I was angry at first, like some1 gave me a hard pill to swallow.

IMO this should be fixed in a way, that you unlock flying in ARR maps ONLY when you recieve an aether compass or when you unlock your first flying in a region.

I know that many want to rush through ARR but this gives a wrong perception to new player, who is able to fly without any restriction in ARR, just to be forced to walk through missions to unlock currents in HW. It's just not logical


I decided to put this here since this problem kinda mixes the game lore, overall feeling and perception of early game

thats fair. i was a long time lurker and i still don't know any other forums.

Aether Compass got introduced when HW Came!
HW Offered larger maps designed for flying in mind. Its bit of excuse "why" you are able to fly its aether current Lore-wise.
They made it easier for new players having to gather half of what we used to gather.
Usually we wont fly until we reach max level of that expansion (HW being max lv60). Due to some places are "locked" within the same map and msq triggers that.

Back in the days .. ARR did not have flying until recently.(not sure how long ago?)
We had to travel on land before :D

That's why its kinda dumb to be able to fly in ARR right off the bat without any work.
It just leaves a bad impression when you get to HW.

you're not, though? you unlock your chocobo at level 30 in the MSQ, and you can't fly until completing the 2.0 MSQ entirely.
