Hello,
I will keep this short. I have been playing ffxiv since 2014 and love this game. I love the people I interact with playing this game. I hope we can all continue playing for years. But we all have our limits. Of course, there is an unusually large number of people attempting to get in a play the game. And yes, we are living in unusual times. However, I've waited in line behind several thousand people every day since launch. Several hours worth each time. Staying with my pc due to fear of being kicked from the queue. And I'm tired. I also have a job that I cannot neglect. I care very much for my work, just as the developers of this game do. But I'm just tired of waiting like this and just hoping that it will work out every evening with no clear solution in sight. And I'm just not going to do it any more. Please, just let us know when you have a solution to this, and I'll happily come back.

Its understandable to be tired and worn out. trust me there are many out there like you. its upsetting when you cant play something you love. but ill suggest this
Take a break. Yoshi P and gang already said they are doing their best and you will just have to suffice with that answer. -

Ok the game is good and everybody loves Yoshi P. But we pay to play not to wait hours to log. We also have a life , the time to play everyday is maybe 1 or 2 hours. So it is no acceptable "apologies" and "we are woking on ...". Square Enix new the game popularity , we the comunity make the game what it is now with 25 millons players. They should provide more data centers or servers. The global chip shortage problem is not player problem. That can't be used as excuse.

Considering the scope of setting up servers for a game as huge as FFXIV this process would not be swiftly done. To top it off there are health concerns for the server staff because of the pandemic so that would slow down installation and set-up as well.
SE literally cannot do more than what they're already doing. It is not within their power to fix hardware production issues because they do not manufacture server hardware.
It's also not their fault that WoW became so bad that a mass exodus suddenly made the FFXIV population explode beyond anything anyone could predict.
