Some Temporary Solutions for New Releases

Please, no attacks.
Please, no mentions of getting new servers, we all know.

Please provide your best solutions and don't attack others just because you do no not agree, but respond proactively and constructively. (And I must add, respectfully, and not this passive aggressive sarcasm I've been seeing).

My suggestions are temporary solutions to help mitigate congestion. They need to be set up 14 days before the release and last 14 days after. (The days can be any that is reasonable, I chose 14 because it's pretty reasonable to me.)


1. Reorganize Worlds.

2. Place level caps on worlds.

3. BEFORE Release, migrate to your designated recommended world, preferably 48-72 hours in advance of Update. Or it can be automatic.

4. Those doing the latest MSQ release can do world transfers to a world dedicated to it. They will be sent back to their original world after 5 days (or whatever amount seems appropriate) and to their character level world at the time.

5. After 14 days, everyone goes back to their original world. It will be automatic and on certain designated dates to prevent congestion.

6. Brand new people just coming in and or did not migrate to their designated world within the 14 day window will go into a queue.

7. SE should offer incentives by asking in advance if players want to wait out the period and congestion. Their accounts will be locked for 14 days, but they will get nice goodies when they log back in.

8. SE needs to offer lost play time (within a reasonable amount, and they are going to. I'm very thankful of that).

I know these suggestions may benefit veteran players. I know there are loopholes and missing elements. I know it is not fleshed out. But I believe we will all hurt less if servers and Worlds prepare better. Transfers should occur well in advance of launches. It will help everyone gauge the population and impact on release day. They will know how long they have to really wait to get in.

What will happen if congestion never ceases? I don't know. We are all still learning. Do not feel discouraged.

So are you also going to migrate my house to the new world? What about being able to play with your FC? Everyone would be split up according to your plan.

Terrible idea.

1. What does that even mean? There are so many ways any one thing could be reorganized that the word by itself carries almost no meaning.

2. Sounds like a good way to make things more confusing for everyone. Also, most people are still <82, so it would just give the people who rushed to the end special treatment.

3. This likely won't help much, since if everyone follows this advice, you're back to square one. Also this suggests that pretty much every FC disintegrates, which is... not good.

4/5. I guess that's not a bad idea, but aren't FCs/Housing chained to the world? Unless you're talking about the visit mechanic which doesn't really seem finished... If not, same problems as 3.

6. This is extremely biased toward veterans, which seems counterproductive since the congestion is mainly coming from new players.

7. Nope. Literally nobody would take that unless it showers you in mog station items and level boosts, which I can tell you right now a company trying to make money would not do. And if it is good enough for people to want to take it, you're just postponing the congestion to 14 days later.

It is only temporary. I know people will be separated, but I really think now is worse when you already are separated because of the queues. At least I think, in this instance, more people will get to play.

That would do nothing to change my current situation. The whole reason I cannot play is because when I get in someone else I'm leveling with cannot. So I'd still have to wait with your solution or just simply waiting for queues to normalize. It's not a solution. It's just another created problem.

But people want to play with their friends.

Me and four real life friends are going through the MSQ as together as we can. Which does mean for dungeons one of us gets to either wait, go through Trust, or queue with strangers. We can however, queue for trials together.

We enjoy looking at each other's gear as we get new gear through quests. Which is impossible to do when you are on other worlds or instances.
