Squadrons

I love my squadron and would like it to at least be level capped at 70 to fill the gap to where Trust starts. I love them more than Trust though to be honest and don't understand why SE just dropped it D:

+1 .. would also love the option to use Squadron members in place of Trust NPCs.

Kind of wish they'd merge the two systems. Recruit, train and setup your squadron in that GC room. Select from a mix of story NPCs and squadron members through the Trust menu.

I know some people like the deeper control you have of your squadron, and some people like the straightforwardness of trusts, but it feels incredibly redundant to me to have two completely different systems for what is essentially the same thing, running dungeons with NPCs.

Maybe they just needed there to be a gap where you can't use them, so you forget how ridiculously OP they are.

Trusts might have the better AI, but who cares when squadrons are absolute monsters.

Honestly I think they just haven't had spare time yet, rather than not wanting to add it. They've been working flat out with Shadowbringers, the pandemic, the huge spike in playerbase and now Endwalker. There's a good chance they'll finish off the Squadron to lv70 if they get a little spare time.

Nah, Yoshi has said that he wants people to be able to move through the MSQ solo, so they'll be covering this gap eventually.

And when talking about trusts he said they've effectively replaced Squadrons because Trusts have AI.

Unless squads/trusts are going to be updated to handle trials (and Crystal Tower), solo MSQ is sounding like a lofty dream.

Might love to see it, but there are still some hurdles to it beyond this one small dungeon gap.

Edit: Also, pretty sure you can't even unlock squadrons until late ARR anyway, would need further adjustments or considerations for those early levels.

You need to hit level cap but you can technically have them unlocked by the time you get there if you handle the seals from levelling roulette properly. The sheer amount of exp you can gain during that period of the game now compensates for a lot of issues (mostly thanks to the beast tribe grinds and roulette bonuses). I’m pretty sure you can unsync that content with a friend who has clears to bypass everything too.
