Hello, this is my first post on these forums. I'm a new player living in Oceanic and am wondering how housing prices work in this game. I heard they will be adding new Oceanic servers in Endwalker, and with these servers will come new housing right? What will the starting prices for these new houses be? I just finished ARR and have about 600,000 gil. Do I still have time to save up for a house in Endwalker? And any advice for securing one once they are available?

We know that the Ishgard housing district will be available for preview in 6.0 and opened to player purchase in 6.1.
SE hasn't given us a specific date for when the Oceania data center will open. They did say it won't be before 6.1, but unfortunately that doesn't mean it will actually happen in 6.1. They've still got a lot of work to get done and COVID restrictions are delaying it.
Starting prices for houses should be the same as they are in the other housing districts. You can find the current prices here:

There's always the possibility SE may choose to update those prices at some point but they haven't announced anything to that effect recently.
There should be plenty of time to save gil enough to buy a house before 6.1.
SE is making some changes to the purchase system in Endwalker but they haven't given us much detail yet. I would imagine that a thread will be started in this forum once we get that information and players will be making suggestions on what to do to secure a house. Unless all the new plots get designated as lottery, the biggest advantage will always be to log on as soon as the servers come up from maintenance on the day purchasing can begin. -

Thank you for the reply! What do you think the gap between 6.0 and 6.1 will be? 6.0 will be Endwalker release right? Is there a typical patch cycle/patch cadence in this game?

I'm not sure what the patch cycle/timing is, but I would absolutely recommend saving as much as you can for a house when the Oceanic DC opens up. Whether you stay on a JP server or move to OCN DC, that'll be your best bet for getting a house as the new servers will have open land and people transferring to the OCN DC will be abandoning their plots. Be prepared to log in the moment servers come online when housing is available; it's going to be a race of epic proportions. Another tip, don't worry about getting your perfect plot, get whatever one you can afford. When it comes to housing, owning a plot, regardless of location, is the most important thing as it allows you to bypass the random purchase timer via relocation.

Have they said yet if the Ishgard housing district is going to be a new area or is it going to be the Firmament? I'm hoping for a former. Call me sentimental but I'd hate to see all those homes the Brume people finally got be bulldozed for gaudy adventurer housing.
