Even if it has nothing to do with the story for the event, this would be a wonderful thing to have back in the zone for the event. It was a lot of fun and I'd love to see it again.

It actually gave players a reason to hang around in Costa. Two years now without it and I really miss it.
The only two events I look forward to in this game are Moonfire Faire and Halloween and it's been pretty rough for awhile. -

I think that they didn't bring it back because of ARR zone flying. In order to get credit for any quests involved in it, you would need to have the status effect of Hoofing It which prevents flying, but that wouldn't stop people without the quest being active from just flying up there and trolling the jumpers by blocking the path with giant mounts. Bringing it back onto the map is probably relatively trivial, but they'd also need to hack in a flight barrier.
