So, this might seem silly, and especially not very screen effective, but...

Y'know how Ninja has this beautiful Pinwheel that only serves to track Huton? I think we could really use that on Samurai to track Jinpu and Shifu. Or on Warrior to track Storm's Eye. Maybe Monk's Twin Snakes? Might not be needed for DRG's Disembowel since the rotation there is so rigid, but why not?

And it doesn't have to be only damage buffs that need to be kept up at all times. I could use a Wildfire counter on MCH to keep track of how many hits I'm getting in that window, because most of the times, given servertick, I don't know if my last hit counted into the Wildfire window or not (And it's not like I can even see that number to check.) You can just put that number in the clock by the Hypercharge gauge, I guess... Hell, even Ninjutsu might be able to use one, maybe a triple-symbol thing like Samurai, that lights up as you throw Mudras? Maybe above the Huton pinwheel. Or how about something to keep track of your Ruin 4 stacks on SMN?

I'm not gonna argue that they are needed, some of the best players can probably play with most of their UIs turned off anyways. But it would be nice! And flashy, too, which is a bonus!

I know you don't really need one, because you should be refreshing it regularly as part of our rotation, but it would still be very useful for me.

Love the idea. BLM has it's own indicator for Eno-chan (5% more damage etc) but Dragoon doesn't have it for their rotation. Same with SAM, as previously mentioned. I'd live to see that implemented.

Yeah, I would probably throw more Storm's Path more often if I didn't lose track of Storm's Eye as much as I do.

Definitely not vital for learning the job, eventually you will just get it by instinct, but what's the harm of, like, a cool Tornado-ish effect with a tracker, maybe the tornado gets smaller as you start running out of Storm's Eye.

Does the SAM rotation allow so much flexibility that Jinpu and Shifu fall off if you're building Sen properly? I'm definitely not a SAM expert, but it seems to me that because of the nature of Iaijutsu/Hagakure, the primary decider for when to use Jinpu and Shifu is the need to combo into Gekko and Kasha for Sen. Is 40s not long enough that you would just naturally use Jinpu/Shifu on your way to Gekko/Kasha without looking at a gauge to see whether you should do Jinpu/Shifu?

WAR and MNK on the other hand, could certainly benefit from a gauge for Storm's Eye and Twin Snakes, since the primary decider of whether you should use Storm's Eye or Twin Snakes is how much time remains on those buff timers.

Nah, you'd be surprised how long you can keep Iaijutsu going with just Yukikaze and Meikyo Shisui. You can throw your opener Higanbana, then throw 2 Midares with a Tsubame in the middle and by the time you're spinning around the third Midare, you can start with Shifu and lose Jinpu for 2 entire Sens if you don't know where your buffs are at.

Somehow they added one for MCH back in SB to track Hotshot buff. Which wasn't that necessary, it was always Wildfire -> Cooldown phase, refresh hotshot -> filler -> repeat.

And yet WAR and MNK, that maintain a buff, still lacks a UI element to keep track of said buff.
DRK has one, Ninja has one, Dragoon has one (but don't need it), Samurai doesn't need one since it's literally tied to the Sen.

SMN definitely needs a better way to trak Further ruin.

For SAM it's not really useful, since those buffs are part of your rotation and are constantly reapplied.
For WAR though, might be useful to remember when to do that second combo, SMN also would benefit from it for their stacks of upgraded ruin.

Completely! I feel that there are small perks that can be improved in the job gauges.

WAR: Inner Release having a graphical countdown diplay
NIN: The Ninjutsu charges being displayed
MNK: Dunno what they'll get in EW to make up for GL, but display that as well lol
SMN: Probably with big changes incoming, but Further Ruin stacks being tracked. I would even delete the Dreadwyrm Aether counter past level 74, as it serves to no purpose anymore by then.
BLM: This is the only job where I have to be constantly micromanaging Mana. With that said, a Mana counter in the middle of their gauge, so we don't have to bring that ugly parameter bar up everytime I use this job.
BRD: Add a visual counter during Mage's Ballad to indicate that the proc is ready. We have just a very suble visual indicator that can go unnoticed very easily.


Other than that, a little unrelated, it would be nice if they could let us make a macro to track just procs.

For example /actrack "Fan Dance III", being a command that only made the macro visible when the ability was usable. This way I could move a hotbar to the middle of the screen and add said macroes there and have them pop up as they become available.

I actually do this already for my UI, so I don't have to keep looking down to my bars to track my procs down, but it kind of clutters the screen a bit. I've tried to play with the Enhancements panel, but most of the time it keeps track of all sorts of other benefical effects that I don't need to keep up with.
