Is there any reason FF14 does not have world quest?
Unless I am missing something when you enter a zone there is not something on the map that actually encourages you to want to leave a city.
What I am thinking is something similar to the below:
. Complete 3 fates. Reward could be monetary
. Complete 3 A class hunts. Reward could be dungeon currency
. Complete 3 entries in the photo gallery
. Additional quest to encourage people to try out blue mage. Like use x blue mage spell to kill this enemy.
. Finish one beast tribe quest
^ Just a few examples of things that could give people more reason to leave the city. There could be a minion reward for completing 3 world quest in 3 different zones as a weekly for example.
It would be entirely optional since FF14 devs actually understand the concept of gear acquisition and not building tons of mandatory chore systems. I think one issue I see is people do not quite understand some of the different things in FF14 and this would be a way of helping people learn the game.
XP reward world quest for people leveling.

The challenge log is a very solo thing and FF14 does have a legitimate problem of feeling more like a solo rpg then an MMO in some places. I think this could help. Just call it the daily challenge World Quest and add an extra gil bonus or something.
